John Amhanesi
John Amhanesi is the Founder, Chair, and CEO of the John Amhanesi Foundation (JAF). He is a social entrepreneur with experience in data science and program management in the area of workforce development. At JAF, he leverages analytics to develop scalable youth engagement solutions across Nigeria.
Before founding JAF, John held professional stints in technical positions at NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Apple, where he developed predictive models and built intuitive features for inclusive customer experiences, talent equity initiatives, and digital security. He currently holds a position in strategy and operations at HCA Healthcare's human capital division.
John received a Master of Science Degree in Technology Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Alabama State University. Under his leadership, The John Amhanesi Foundation has grown from a small community initiative to a recognized leader in youth development and education in Nigeria.
John brings a research-to-practice approach to youth engagement, combining academic inquiry with on-the-ground solutions through experiences across Harvard Business School, the Becker Friedman Institute, CIVICUS, and Mercedes-Benz Visioneers.
